Getting Started

"The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step."

But what is the first step? How do you begin planning an off-campus study experience? The team at the Center for International and Intercultural Studies is here to help you every step of the way. It's never too early to begin thinking about off-campus study, and the earlier you begin exploring options, the more time you will have to carefully prepare.

We strongly recommend that students let their exploration of off-campus programs be guided by their academic interests and what they would like to study and learn during their experience. When first exploring pages, it can be helpful to consider which off-campus study themes they would like to explore during their semester.

The resources in this section are designed to help you reflect on your goals, learn about eligibility requirements and application policies, understand and plan ahead for key logistical details, and more. You are always welcome to stop by the Center for International and Intercultural Studies to meet with an advisor or schedule an appointment
