2026 Dates and Details - See Below!

The deadline for second-semester sophomores to declare their major is Friday, Feb. 27^th. Missing this deadline may put an Advising Hold on your account, preventing you from registering for fall classes.

Not sure who to ask to be your advisor or still have questions about a major? Reach out to a department chair to talk about your questions.

Last minute questions? Stop by our drop-in hours 11:00am-12:30pm on Tuesday, 2/24 and Thursday, 2/26 just right inside the student center main entrance, to the right. 

Spring 2026 Events

Anthropology: Tuesday, February 17th from 11:30am-12:30pm in Sykes Formal Lounge. 

• Come hear about the experiences and research of anthropology majors at our annual Anthropology Salon. Learn about the Anthropology major/minor and meet our faculty and students. Eat some snacks and get cool anthro swag too! Don't miss it!

Biology: The Biology department is hosting three events to learn about all their majors (Biology, Conservation Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Biochemistry, Neuroscience, and two combined majors: Biology-Physics, Environmental Studies-Biology)

• Monday, February 16th and Wednesday, February 18th from 11:40AM-12:50PM by the JHS Grab-n-Go
• Tuesday, February 17th at Dr. Temkin's office hours (JHS 129) from 12:00-1:00PM

English: Tuesday, February 10th at 5:00PM in Dean Eaton Lounge.

History: Pizza and History Trivia Lunch onThursday, February 12th from 11:30AM-12:30PM in Sykes Formal Lounge.

Performance and Communication Arts: Celebration of Excellence in PCA - Alumni Panel & Honor Society Inductions, Tuesday, February 10th from 8:00-9:15 PM in the Winston Room. Register your attendance on SLU Central.

Philosophy: Tuesday, February 17th from 4:15-5:00PM in Piskor 015.

Political Science: Tuesday, February 17th from 11:15AM-12:15PM in Hepburn 113.

• Come learn about the Political Science major and minor, meet our interesting faculty and your fellow POLS majors in the sophomore class, snap a pic in our photobooth, get an early sneak peek into the POLS courses that will be offered in Fall '26, and get some POLS swag too!  Feel free to drop in at any time or stay for the full hour.

Religious Studies: Wednesday, February 11th at 4:30PM in Richardson 202
