Get to Know St. Lawrence's New Biomedical Sciences Major
St. Lawrence’s new biomedical sciences major is hands-on, experiential, versatile, and designed for students who are curious to explore big questions regarding health and disease. Associate Professor of Biology Karin Heckman and Sarah Johnson ’82 Professor of Biology and Psychology Ana Estevez illuminated the benefits of majoring in biomedical sciences at a liberal arts institution, shared what makes St. Lawrence’s program unique, and illustrated how faculty and staff will support their students’ wide range of possible career aspirations.

Five Off-Campus Study Alumni Published in Journal
Kim LongfellowFive St. Lawrence University students who studied off-campus in 2018 were selected to have their experiences (photos, stories, and written reflections) published in The Aleph: A journal of global perspectives, created by Hobart and William Smith Colleges and Union College.

St. Lawrence Board of Trustees Elects New Members
St. Lawrence University’s Board of Trustees has elected Kathleen Perkins Colson ’79 and Carolyn Davidow Putney ’88, P’22 as new term members. The trustees will serve for a period of six years beginning on June 1.

St. Lawrence Dedicates Building in Honor of Bill and Lynn Fox
A space at the heart of St. Lawrence’s campus where students can access resources that support their success in the classroom now bears the name Fox Hall, home of the William L. Fox ’75 Center for Academic Opportunity.

First Person: Finding Purpose as a Former Student Athlete
Tommy Benjes ’22For my entire life, all I've known is sports. In high school, I was a three-sport athlete. I was used to clicking on my football helmet in the fall, lacing up my skates in the winter, and tying up my cleats for lacrosse in the spring.
