    At the VCA North Country Animal Hospital in Watertown, a bald eagle thrashed in its cage, its piercing gaze sharp enough to send shivers down anyone’s spine. But Debra Mousaw, St. Lawrence University’s director of human resources, stood unfazed.

    The St. Lawrence University community came together under the canopy of the Herring-Cole Grove in the Enchanted Forest on Aug. 28 to celebrate the start of a new academic year and recognize the outstanding contributions of faculty and staff.

    Retirement Goal in Sight for Durocher After a Championship Career

    Senior Associate Vice President for Athletics Bob Durocher M’94, P’13 is retiring after nine years leading the Athletics Department and a  35-year career with Saints Athletics. He will remain in the position until a successor is selected after a national search.

    Brenda Papineau Named St. Lawrence University's Director of Native American Affairs

    St. Lawrence University has named Brenda Papineau director of Native American Affairs. Papineau, a member of the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe, graduated from St. Lawrence with a bachelor’s degree in sociology in 2002, a master’s in counseling and human development in 2006, and a master’s in educational leadership in 2015.

    Faculty and Staff Honored, Awarded Promotions at Annual Convocation Ceremony

    To mark the beginning of a new academic year and celebrate the contributions of all members of the St. Lawrence community, the University honored several employees with awards for their outstanding service and recognized a number of faculty who earned tenure and promotions during their annual Convocation event. The ceremony was held outside in the Herring-Cole Grove on Wednesday, August 25.
