As a new CM, I am most excited about building my professional skills and working with my St. Lawrence peers. Being able to give back to the North Country, a community that has helped me so much over the past four years, is something I am all about!
Fun fact: I have three older sisters.
Where is home?: Utica, New York
Why did you choose SLU?: I was most drawn to the close-knit community of SLU. I was also very interested in joining the Anthropology program at SLU.
Pronouns: She/Her
CBL courses taken: None
Why did you apply to be a CM: Over the summer, I had the opportunity to intern at North Country Children’s Museum in Potsdam. Working there gave me the chance to engage with the community in a meaningful way, and I would like to keep working with the North Country community!
What do you like most/enjoy most about SLU?: I really value the relationships I have formed with the campus community! Given that SLU is a relatively smaller school, I have been able to make lasting connections with professors, staff members, and my student peers. Being able to see many people I know and offer a smile on campus is very meaningful to me.
What are the benefits of a student taking a CBL course during their time at SLU?: Based on my experience, being a part of a team in a professional setting is very important. Thus, being able to form reciprocal relationships with your peers and community partners is extremely beneficial. CBL courses give students the opportunity to interact and work with their community.
