Cornell Cooperative Extension (St. Lawrence County)

Agency and Placement Location: 2043B State Hwy 68, Canton, NY 13617 (three miles from campus)

Transportation: University Van Reserved, this means that CBL has automatically reserved a SLU vehicle for students’ use. However, it does not mean that CBL is providing a driver. As such, students MUST complete SLU's Driver Certification training in order to utilize this transportation.

Mission: According to their website, the mission of Cornell Cooperative Extension (St. Lawrence County) is to "To provide unbiased, educational outreach to the North Country through research, education and demonstration in Food and Agricultural Systems, Life Skills, Community Enhancement, Rural Stewardship, and Youth Development."

Projects:

  • Assist youth in after school program: homework, free play, mentoring, and outdoor activities. 
  • Plan and implement one to two activities with the youth during the semester.
