    St. Lawrence University has announced that Professor of Modern Languages and Literatures Marina Llorente will become the next Associate Dean for International and Intercultural Education. 

  4. Grant Awarded For Student-Faculty Research in South Africa

    In October 2015, students rallied outside government buildings across South Africa against proposed hikes in university fees. Earlier that year, using the social media hashtags #FeesMustFall and #RhodesMustFall, students protested against the statue of industrialist Cecil Rhodes at the University of Cape Town, which had become a symbol of that nation’s colonial past and racial oppression.

    Gladys Brooks Provides Funding for Language Lab Renovation

    St. Lawrence University has received a $100,000 grant from a private foundation that will aid in the renovation of two language learning laboratories in an effort to modernize second-language learning and connect St. Lawrence to the global community.

    Pre-Med Student Inspired by Her Own Medical History

    At the age of three, Morgan O’Hare '16 was diagnosed with a form a childhood cancer of the eye, known as retinoblastoma, and had to have one of her eyes removed. All the years of close medical attention and therapy, though, is something that she attributes to her interest in medicine today.
