From sparking curiosity at the North Country Children’s Museum to transforming transportation access in the North Country, our students and alums are creating lasting impact.
For years, St. Lawrence has been recognized for its commitment to providing exceptional, immersive off-campus study opportunities which often include research and internship components. These experiences often guide students’ paths after graduation, whether they choose to enter the Peace Corps, pursue careers in foreign policy or international development, or apply for Fulbright awards.

When St. Lawrence math professors Patti Frazer Lock P’08 and Daniel Look started planning the 2024 Math & Everything event, they knew they had their work cut out for them. Keenly aware of the misperceptions often associated with mathematics, statistics, and computer science majors and career paths for women, Lock and Look were determined to give high school women from across the North Country an opportunity to see their potential from a variety of new angles.
The journey to philanthropy began for Thomas Wallace M’64 on the shores of Saranac Lake, nestled in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains.
