Habitat for Humanity

The Habitat for Humanity (HFH) theme house works in close collaboration with Raquette Valley HFH to raise funds and recruit volunteers for various building projects within the surrounding community.

All house members are required to attend weekly on-campus club meetings, during which students are encourage to help fundraise, grow awareness, and participate in building opportunities. Past events have included spaghetti dinner fundraisers, a World Habitat Day "Sleep-Out" on the Brush Memorial Quad, and 50/50 raffles at hockey and football games.

House members are also required to earn a minimum of 25 hours of community service per semester. They easily and enthusiastically achieve this goal through building, landscaping, and reparation projects with Raquette Valley HFH. Members also volunteer with the University's Campus Kitchens Project and take part in the much-anticipated HFH Collegiate Challenge spring break trip.
