Students go to Paris as part of an SYE/Honor's Class, Revolutions.
Professor Maegan Bos took 5 students over Spring Break in March 2019 to Paris. The students that went were Sarah Auch, Jenna Christensen, Amber Liu, Paloma Ruiz, and Maria Denisse Jimenez Malespin. The theme of the course is loosely based around mathematicians of the French Revolution. They also considered the differential equation put forward by Christophe and Geraldine Chouard to describe the Eiffel tower and the symmetry groups of Islamic Art at both the Louvre and the Grande Mosquée du Paris. This, plus many more mathematical adventures. And cheese. They ate lots of cheese!
