All alumni, parents, and friends are invited to celebrate Laurentian Weekend 2021. This event, the St. Lawrence blend of Family Weekend and Homecoming, is being planned as an in-person celebration with some virtual components at this time. A final decision about whether the event will happen in person will come on or before August 13.
Laurentian Weekend is aimed to unify the St. Lawrence community and connect students and their families with alumni. The weekend is also scheduled to include the Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.
Registration will open in August 2021.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is Laurentian Weekend?
A: In 2020, the Office of Laurentian Engagement and Office of Student Activities and Leadership came together to collaborate on a potential new offering for campus that would be a combination of Homecoming and Family Weekends. While we were not able to host the event on campus, because of the success of the virtual event, we are coming together again to make this a permanent collaboration! Moving forward, Homecoming and Family Weekends will be celebrated together as Laurentian Weekend, aiming to unify the St. Lawrence community and connect students and their families with alumni.
Q: Is this an in-person event?
A: At this time, we are optimistic that we will be able to welcome guests to campus for Laurentian Weekend 2021. This decision to welcome guests will depend on local, state, and federal guidelines in place at the time as well as campus policy. We hope to provide a firm decision on an in-person event on August 13.
We also recognize that virtual offerings expand access to programming for those not able to make it to campus. We will look to have a balance of virtual offerings even if we are able to be in-person this fall.
Q: When will registration open?
A: Our plan is to open registration after our in-person decision date of August 13. At that time, we will have a clearer sense of how the event will proceed and will be ready to collect registrations. When registration does open, we encourage you to sign up! Registrations help us best prepare for the numbers of people we expect to come back for this type of weekend.
Q: Where are alumni, parents, and friends encouraged to stay?
A: Please visit our Regional Accommodations website for lodging suggestions. We encourage you to plan ahead by making your lodging accommodations as early as possible to guarantee you have space!
Q: Where do I park on campus?
A: All guests are encouraged to use J-Lot for parking throughout the weekend. For athletics events, please use the lots behind the Newell Field House or on Miner Street. View parking map.
Q: Am I able to bring a camper or RV to campus?
A: Yes, you may bring a camper or RV to Laurentian Weekend. We ask that you only park in the dirt lot next to Appleton Arena on a first-come, first-spot basis. Please be advised that there are no facilities or hookups. View parking map.
Q: What is the alcohol policy on campus?
A: The University reminds Laurentian Weekend guests that St. Lawrence is governed by New York State alcohol consumption laws. The state legal drinking age is 21. The University alcohol policy applies to students, faculty, staff, and guests of the University. It prohibits consumption of alcoholic beverages at public events including, but not limited to, films, lectures, athletic contests, and performances.
Q: Am I able to bring my pet on campus during Laurentian Weekend?
A: Please refer to the University pet policy.
Q: What if there is an emergency during the weekend?
A: Our emergency number on campus is Campus Security & Safety: 315-229-5555.
