Laurentian Weekend Schedule

Registration

$30 per registration includes one commemorative Laurentian Weekend 2021 tote bag*, additional giveaways, and access to public Laurentian Weekend events. Pre-register online by 5:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday, September 22 online.

St. Lawrence University COVID-19 Policy: Upon arrival to registration, all guests will be required to show proof of vaccination or a negative result on a PCR COVID-19 test taken no earlier than September 21, 2021.  The NYS Excelsior Pass will be accepted.  St. Lawrence is vigilantly monitoring the Covid-19 landscape and will update the community accordingly if Laurentian Weekend plans should need to change. Be sure to stay up-to-date with St. Lawrence's COVID-19 regulations.

On-site registration will be available for guests who did not pre-register at the Leithead Fieldhouse from 12 - 7 p.m. Friday, September 24 and from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, September 25.  Only one guest per party is asked to come inside to show their group’s Covid-19 documentation. 

A reminder, masks are required in all campus buildings regardless of vaccination status.

Friday, September 24

2:00 p.m. | Japanese Garden Tour
Japanese Garden (Meet at Sykes Hall flagpole)
Inspired by Zen gardens in Japan, the Japanese Garden was constructed in 2009 and serves as both a place of reflection and an outdoor classroom. Please note that in the event of inclement weather, this event will be cancelled.

3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. | Sustainability Farm Tour
Sustainability House, 1894 State Highway 68
Stop by the Sustainability House (located just 4 miles from campus) to tour the site of the University’s Sustainability Program. Sustainability Program staff will be on site to answer your questions and show visitors the gardens, farm animals and farmhouse. The tour will take place outside; please dress accordingly. Directions: Turn right out of Romoda Drive onto East Main Street. At the first set of lights take a right on Route 68 (by the golf course sign). Follow Route 68 for approximately 3 miles; the Sustainability House will be on the left, approximately ½ mile after the yellow blinking light.

Have you missed live music? Come to our performance to unwind and groove! We are playing at the Java venue with an outdoor audience at the new rock amphitheater. We will be playing a variety of pop, funk, R&B, jazz, and more. Hope to see you there! Masks will be required when in the immediate vicinity of the audience at the Java venue.

8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. | Class of 2024 Car Wash!
F-Lot, Parking Area behind Safety and Security
After traveling from near and far to campus for Laurentian Weekend, stop by the Car Wash held by the Sophomore Class Council to support the class and get your car washed!  Donations are accepted and will go towards the Class of 2024's Senior Experience. There will also be an opportunity to purchase some Class of 2024 merchandise!

Intramural field (near J Lot)
Join the Community Assistant Wellness Council for a 5K to motivate people to come and enjoy practicing physical wellness with their peers outdoors. This event hopes to be inclusive of a wide range of people with different athletic backgrounds and so it is a walking, jogging, and running event for all! Join Nature Up North, an environmental education organization based at St. Lawrence, for a guided hike along the rolling, gentle terrain of Stone Valley Trail in Colton, NY. Please note that guests will need their own transportation, but will follow a vehicle caravan to the trailhead. At this time, all spots for the guided hike are filled. Interested individuals may contact Nature Up North Project Manager Kayla Edmunds kedmunds@stlawu.edu to be added to the waitlist.

Join President Kathryn A. Morris as we name the on-campus home of the Vice President and Dean of Student Life in memory of the Reverend Jeffrey Campbell ’33.  Reverend Campbell was a lifelong educator, Unitarian Universalist minister, essayist, and poet.  He was the first African-American to graduate from St. Lawrence University and the first Black Laurentian to be ordained as a Universalist minister by the St. Lawrence School of Theology in 1935.

Music plays a central role in the St. Lawrence Community, and Laurentian Weekend is no different!  Join fellow guests on the Brush Family Quad for a star-studded musical line-up set to include two a cappella groups, the Saints and the Upbeats, as well as the Laurentian Singers, celebrating their 75th year as a choir.
