Registration

$10 per person includes giveaways and access to all public Laurentian Weekend events,* including the Saints Football game and Sergi’s Saturday Dinner. Children 10 years and younger are free. A commemorative Laurentian Weekend 2022 tote bag may be purchased for $5 per bag.**

Laurentians feel home at Gunnison Memorial Chapel; it is where our community goes in moments of excitement, sadness, and reflection.  Join two Laurentians who ensure the spirit of Gunnison is in full force, Dr. Shaun Whitehead and Sondra Goldsmith Proctor, as they lead a presentation of the 1926 Estey Organ and the enchanting stained glass windows, learning the meaning and historical significance etched in each pane.

Summer 2022 Internship Fellowship recipients will be available on Friday afternoon to share stories of their internship and research experiences.  Students will be available to provide overviews of their experiential learning pursuits, to outline to their peers how they secured their opportunities and to answer any questions.  This is an informal session where guests can stroll through the student posters to casually gain insight on some of the many experiential learning opportunities SLU students pursue!

Join fellow Laurentians as the University honors George W. Karpus ’68 and his contributions to the St. Lawrence community and the future of Saints Athletics.  

3:30 – 4:30 p.m. | Sustainability Farm Tour
Sustainability House, 1894 State Highway 68
Stop by the Sustainability House (located just 4 miles from campus) to tour the site of the University’s Sustainability Program. Sustainability Program staff and alumni will be on site to answer your questions and show visitors the gardens, farm animals and farmhouse. The tour will take place outside; please dress accordingly. Directions: Turn right out of Romoda Drive onto East Main Street. At the first set of lights take a right on Route 68 (by the golf course sign). Follow Route 68 for approximately 3 miles; the Sustainability House will be on the left, approximately ½ mile after the yellow blinking light.

6:00 – 7:30 p.m. | North Country Public Radio’s Underscore Project in Concert
Gulick Theater
After four virtual performances from four groups playing different musical genres in NCPR’s Cinder Block Café, fans will now have a chance to hear all four groups live on stage. Spanning from fiddlers to Latin American Folk, this concert will have something for everyone to enjoy. Doors open at 5:30. The concert is free, but tickets required. Join Nature Up North, an environmental education organization based at St. Lawrence, for a guided hike to an impressive local waterfall! We’ll enjoy a ~2 mile round trip hike on gentle, rolling terrain. Please note that guests will need their own transportation, but will follow a vehicle caravan to the trailhead. Join us for an informational session on Off-Campus Study programs at St. Lawrence University. Hear from the Patti McGill Peterson Center for International and Intercultural Studies staff and explore our 30 programs located in 22 different countries. Information on scholarships, the application process, advising, and programmatic updates will be shared. This session will include a general information session led by CIIS staff, followed by break-out sessions on specific programs featuring students who’ve returned from Off-Campus study.

Java Barn
After a long hiatus, the Java Barn is happy to announce their fourth annual Melon Fest, a festival full of melons, music, dancing, love, art, fun, and more melons! The Java Barn welcomes students, parents, alums, families, and everyone in between. Outside the Java venue from 4-6 pm, student bands and ensembles will be performing on the Jammbulance, an outdoor stage created and operated by a Java alum. But that’s not all! No Showers on Vacation will be opening for the infamous Mr. Charlie and Blues for Breakfast on the Java Stage starting around 9 pm. Mr. Charlie and the boys are excited to share a night full of Grateful Dead and melons with everyone!
