ODK Faculty/Staff Recommendation Form
Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK) is St. Lawrence University’s national leadership honor society. It originated on our campus beginning in 1954. All initiates into Omicron Delta Kappa must be in the top 35% of their class academically and have demonstrated a leadership role in several phases of campus life, which ODK identifies as their five pillars:
- Scholarship
- Athletics
- Campus or Community Service, Social and Religious Activities and Campus Government
- Journalism, Speech and the Mass Media
- Creative and Performing Arts.
Omicron Delta Kappa members are role models for student leadership within our campus while engaging in activities that support the honor society’s ideals. All student applicants are required to complete an extensive application, which includes one recommendation by a faculty/staff member. The faculty/staff recommendation is important to the application process because it is the only information supplied from someone other than the applicant. An application will be incomplete - and therefore not considered by the review committee - unless it is accompanied by this faculty/staff recommendation web form.
The St. Lawrence University chapter of Omicron Delta Kappa deeply appreciates the time you are taking to participate in this process. We kindly ask that you answer the following questions in the text boxes provided below.
Faculty/Staff recommendations must be submitted by Friday, March 11 at 11:59 p.m..
In order for a candidate’s application to be considered, it must include a Faculty/ Staff recommendation.
To facilitate our blind application process, please write the applicant’s name only in the space provided at the bottom of the page and not in the narrative of your responses to the questions. Thank you!
