Lessons for Fall 2022 are available to all SLU students, as well as to faculty, staff, and community members, subject to change at the recommendation of local public health officials. Community members must be fully vaccinated.
Individual lessons in voice or on an instrument are available, space permitting, for a fee of $400 per semester. Full-time SLU students registered for department ensembles may take lessons for the reduced fee of $200 per semester. Full-time SLU students enrolled in lessons that constitute part of their grade for a course (MUS 101, 201, or 210) will receive lessons at no additional cost.
Need-based financial aid is also available to full-time SLU students.
The Music Department is able to provide some instruments and has a number of practice rooms available for use. Practice rooms are on the lower level of Griffiths Arts Center. Some remain open all the time, while others are by key access only. Please contact department chair David Henderson if you need to borrow an instrument or wish to be assigned to a practice room.
The deadline for applying for the fall semester has passed. The application form for spring 2023 will be available here later this year.
