Private Lessons

Lessons are available to all SLU students, as well as to faculty, staff, and community members.  The deadline for applying for Fall 2024 is Friday, September 6. 

Individual lessons in voice or on an instrument are available, space permitting, for a fee of $400 per semester. Full-time SLU students registered for department ensembles may take lessons for the reduced fee of $200 per semester. Full-time SLU students enrolled in lessons that constitute part of their grade for a course (MUS 101, 201, or 210) will receive lessons at no additional cost.

Need-based financial aid is also available to full-time SLU students.

The Music Department has a number of practice rooms available for use on the lower level of Griffiths Arts Center. We have a limited number of instruments available; please e-mail department chair David Henderson if you will need to borrow an instrument.
