The String Orchestra is open to orchestral string players including students, staff, and faculty from the SLU campus as well as local professional and semi-professional musicians and talented students. We endeavor to combine our energy into memorable concert experiences for our audiences, whether we perform standard repertoire or lighter pop music.
A serious approach and a dedicated focus from its players have given the SLU String Orchestra its exceptional musical reputation on the university campus and in the local community.
The Fall 2022 program is entitled Hope – Music that Inspires, and features works by Samuel Barber, John Williams, Karl Jenkins, and Billy Joel.
