Business Office Assistant
Approximately 3-5 hours per week during the hours of 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. Position is for the fall semester (September – December), with the potential to be rehired for the spring semester based on job performance and departmental need.
The Business Office Assistant should have office/clerical experience and good communication skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word programs. This position may involve working with confidential documents and the incumbent must be able and committed to maintain confidentiality.
Responsibilities include the following:
- File documents pertaining to accounts payable and accounting entries.
- Perform audits of charges to purchasing cards.
- Assist Accounts Payable Clerk with data entry to fuel sales tax spreadsheet.
- Assist Accounting Clerk with fixed asset capitalization and inventories.
- Assist cashier with journal entry and cash receipt input.
- Assist Business Office staff when needed with project support and secretarial support.
