First-Year Pre-Health Mentorship Program

Are you a first-year or transfer student interested in pursuing a health career?

Join our Pre-Health Mentorship Program!

- Open to incoming first-year or transfer students

- The 10 session program runs twice per year: once during each semester.

- Supplement your individual advising from SLU Pre-Health Program Advisors

What it includes:

- Placement in a mentorship group with peers also interested in health careers

- Weekly meetings with peers, junior/senior student peer mentors, AND the PHP Co-Chairs!

Not sure which health career you're interested in?

You're not alone!  Participating in this program is a great way to explore your options, and we'll place you with other students also looking for their paths.

How to join:

E-mail Dr. Kari Heckman kheckman@stlawu.edu or Dr. Jane Kring jkring@stlawu.edu to sign up.  For both sessions, look for e-mails from Dr. Heckman and Dr. Kring announcing sign-up information.  (Sign-up for the fall session will occur prior to first-year course registration (late July), while sign-up for the spring session will occur in late November.)
