We inaugurated our 19th president, put Laurentian generosity to work for our students, cheered on nine Saints at the Olympics, celebrated 50 years of partnership in Kenya, and so much more. Here's a recap of the top stories from St. Lawrence University in 2022.
Wellness Education Office
The Wellness Education Office is on a mission to help all students with their health- and wellness-related needs, and in turn set students up for success at St. Lawrence and beyond.
From stress reduction and resilience, to sleep and nutrition tips, the Wellness Education team empowers students to practice self-care, tune into their needs, and employ tools and strategies to improve their mental health, physical health, and overall well-being.
A Team Effort
The Wellness Education office works collaboratively with several other campus departments, including Health & Counseling, Diversity & Inclusion, Athletics, and the Outdoor Program.
Events & Programming
The Wellness Education Office also partners with student clubs and organizations to sponsor engaging wellness-focused and alternative-to-alcohol programming. Have an idea for an event, speaker, or workshop? Let us know!
SLU Peer Health Network helps open campus discussion around health and mental health, pushing for advocacy and change.
Inspired by her passion to promote mental health and well-being on our campus, especially the emotional wellness of student-athletes, Jan Egbers P’21 is presenting St. Lawrence University with a $1.5 million gift, which will create an endowment to support St. Lawrence mental health and counseling services. The fund also honors retiring long-time Head Golf Coach Mary Lawrence by naming the position the Mary A. Lawrence Head Coach for Men's and Women's Golf.
