North Country Public Radio
North Country Public Radio (NCPR) is the licensee of St. Lawrence University. Through a network of 33 transmitters broadcasting to the entire Adirondack North Country, western Vermont and southeastern Ontario, NCPR informs, enriches and connects the region-on air, online and in our communities. The commercial-free format includes a wide variety of programs from National Public Radio including All Things Considered, Morning Edition, Fresh Air and more. NCPR's award-winning news team can be heard weekdays at 8:00 am with regional news broadcasts, features and interviews. The station also airs an eclectic mix of locally-hosted music programs.
Each year, NCPR identifies, mentors and engages in the work of the station a select group of students who receive academic credit for their apprenticeships. NCPR is committed to playing an active part in training the next generation of public media journalists and professionals.
