Environmental Science and Policy

The Environmental Science and Policy pathway prepares graduates to bridge the gap between
scientific knowledge and policymaking, equipping them to address today’s most pressing
environmental challenges. Careers in this field include working as Environmental Policy Analysts
or Sustainability Officers, where graduates evaluate and implement environmental regulations, or
serving as Compliance Specialists who ensure that organizations meet state, federal, and
international environmental standards. Graduates may also pursue roles as Environmental
Consultants, advising governments, businesses, and NGOs on sustainable practices and
environmental impact assessments. In addition, positions such as Environmental Lobbyists allow
professionals to influence adaptation strategies and advocate for stronger environmental
protections. With a foundation that combines scientific expertise, regulatory knowledge, and
communication skills, students are well positioned for careers across government agencies, policy
think tanks, non-governmental organizations, and international institutions.
