Environmental Analytics
Graduates specializing in Environmental Analytics are equipped to transform complex
environmental data into practical findings that guide decision-making and policy. Career paths
include working as an Environmental Consultant with consulting agencies to assess ecological
impacts and design mitigation strategies, or as a GIS Analyst in city planning departments, where
spatial data is applied to land-use planning, infrastructure development, and conservation
initiatives. Other opportunities include roles as Environmental Risk Analysts in the insurance
industry, evaluating climate-related and ecological risks to inform financial planning and resilience
strategies, and as Climate Change Analysts with federal agencies such as NOAA and the EPA, or
with NGOs focused on adaptation and sustainability. This pathway emphasizes data analysis,
modeling, and interdisciplinary problem-solving, preparing graduates to address environmental
challenges through evidence-based strategies.
