Foreign Language Placement

If you wish to study a foreign language at St. Lawrence, please read the instructions on the Modern Languages & Literatures department website, which will help you enroll in the appropriate language level.

Once enrolled in a course at St. Lawrence, all students are automatically required to take a placement test for French, German, or Spanish administered by the department to determine if the course they have chosen is adequate for their level of preparation. You may also take the French or Spanish placement test on your own.
