Spring 2026 Field Trips/Courses
Complete by October 15th to express interest in one of the below trips.
Field Trips/Courses
- Winter Break 2026: December 30th, 2025 - January 7th, 2026
- 7 days of climbing in the World famous Joshua Tree
- Earn an Anchor Building Certification upon completion
- No prior rock climbing experience is required but the ability to engage in moderate physical activity, travel on uneven terrain, and spend full days in wilderness environments is essential. This trip is based in the front country with day trips into the wilderness.
- Spring Break 2026: March 20-28
- .5 credit course
- Snow science, avalanche study, terrain management, backcountry travel
- Earn an Avalanche Level 1 Certification
- Previous backcountry skiing/snowboarding experience is not required but an ability to ski/ride competently through varied off piste terrain and engage in physically demanding days in a winter wilderness environment is essential. This trip is based in the front country with day trips into the wilderness.
- Spring Break 2026: March 20-28
- .5 credit course
- River navigation, natural & cultural history
- Optional L4 Swiftwater Rescue Component
- Previous camping or rafting experience is not required but an ability to engage in moderate physical activity and care for oneself in a remote backcountry environment for 5+ days is essential. This trip is based in the backcountry environment and students will be camping in remote settings for 5+ days.
Course Fees
Our course fees are on a sliding scale based on financial need and do not include airfare.
River Dynamics- Tier 1: $1,000, Tier 2: $1,500, Tier 3: $2,000
Snow Science- Tier 1: $1,000, Tier 2: $1,500, Tier 3: $2,000
Rock Climbing- Tier 1: $875, Tier 2: $1,300, Tier 3: $1,750
