Peace Corps Prep Program
St. Lawrence University’s Peace Corps Preparatory Program (PCPP) and Peace Corps volunteers, Stella VanGee ‘25 and Lizi Barsness ’24, were recently featured in the Watertown Daily Times.
The program, which helps students gain a competitive edge in the Peace Corps application process in addition to a wide array of career opportunities, has shattered enrollment expectations.
Stella VanGee ’25 studied abroad in Kenya and majored in political science at St. Lawrence. Now, she’s in the process of applying to enter the Peace Corps.
Lizi Barsness ’24, majored in English and history at St. Lawrence and now serves as a Peace Corps volunteer in Namibia.

Hayden Beyer ’26
St. Lawrence’s very own Hayden Beyer ’26 was recently featured in the Watertown Daily Times for receiving the prestigious Richard D. Morse Memorial award at the Adirondack Research Consortium Annual Conference on the Adirondacks.
The recognition awards $500 to a student studying at a college or university in the Adirondack region who demonstrates passion for environmental policy and outdoor activities in the Adirondacks.
Beyer, who is majoring in statistics, mathematics, and environmental studies, grew up on a dairy farm in Lowville, New York, and has always felt a deep connection to Adirondack Park.

Reunion Weekend 2025
Reunion Weekend 2025 and the drone light show that kicked off the festivities, were featured in the Watertown Daily Times.
Created by alumnus Jason Johnson ’09, founder and CEO of Airloom Drone Shows, the drone light show featured St. Lawrence University’s shield, a mortarboard, an animated hiker, Gunnison Memorial Chapel, and tributes to the college’s rowing, basketball, and hockey team, and the Singing Saints.
Men’s Hockey
The University's storied men’s hockey program was featured in North Country Now as it prepares for a historic milestone: its centennial season.
Throughout the 2025-26 season, the Skating Saints will celebrate 100 years of varsity hockey with events and tributes.
Commencement 2025
St. Lawrence’s 2025 Commencement was featured in North Country Now. The ceremony celebrated the graduating class, and featured distinguished faculty, alumni, and student speakers. Read our Commencement story.
