Canadian Admissions
Just across the border in Canton, New York, St. Lawrence University is a nationally recognized liberal arts institution where you'll learn in small classes, live on campus for all four years, and form lasting connections.
Applying from Canada
With so many options to choose from, finding the right fit matters. If you’re exploring U.S. universities from Canada, you’ll find St. Lawrence University offers the best of both worlds: close to home with the unique opportunities of a liberal arts education.
Canadian students apply for free just like U.S. students—through the Common Application or our St. Lawrence Application. We take a holistic approach, reviewing your transcripts, recommendations, and experiences inside and outside the classroom. Test scores are optional. Our Admissions team is also well-versed in Canadian grading systems, making the process straightforward and supportive.
$1,000 Visit Award
To understand what makes our community special, and to truly see yourself on our campus, you have to experience it for yourself. That’s why visiting is such a critical part of the college search process.
We offer a $1,000 Visit Award to any prospective student who completes an official visit to our campus by no later than December 1 (Early Action applicants) or February 2 (Early Decision or Regular Decision applicants) of their senior year. Transfer applicants who complete an official visit before their application deadline (November 3 for spring and March 2 for fall) are also eligible for this award.
Like most St. Lawrence scholarships, this award is renewable annually for four years, totaling $4,000.
