True North Scholars Program
What is the True North Scholars Program?
Valued at $44,500 per year, the True North Scholars Program seeks high school juniors who demonstrate strong character, meaningful engagement in their school, community, work, or family life, and a desire to be part of a close-knit residential community grounded in the liberal arts.
Students must be nominated by a high school counselor, have a cumulative grade point average at the mid-point of their junior year (after five semesters or the equivalent) of at least 87 on a 100-point scale or 3.2 on a 4.0 scale. Canadian students must have at least an 80 on a 100-point scale. All eligible students must have a college-preparatory curriculum.
How do I submit a nomination for the award?
High school counselors can submit their nominations for two high school juniors by contacting the Admissions Office.
The priority deadline to nominate a student is April 15, 2026. Please use this deadline if you'd like to request that a representative from St. Lawrence attend your school's award ceremony.
The final deadline to nominate a student for the fall 2027 semester is June 1, 2026.
