The 2025-2026 Writers Series proudly celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Viebranz Visiting Professor of Creative Writing at St. Lawrence University. Since 1999, this distinguished position has brought nationally recognized writers to campus to inspire, teach, and connect with our literary community.
From leading creative writing courses to hosting discussions at the historic Kohlberg House, the Viebranz Professors have shaped generations of storytellers. Annually, the Viebranz Visiting Professor is the February Writers Series guest author.
To celebrate this milestone, we are welcoming back 13 former Viebranz Professors for a series of 4 table talks and joint readings. In addition, we will hold our annual February reading highlighting the current Viebranz Professor, A. Kendra Greene, and we’ll start the year by bringing New York Times best-selling author Jeff Sharlet to campus on September 11, 2025.
Join us on campus for the 2025-2026 Writers Series as we celebrate all things Viebranz.
