Public Health SYE Honors Application
Majors wanting to achieve Honors in Public Health must complete a two-semester individual research project mentored by a Public Health faculty member. Students need to register for both 498 (fall) and 499 (spring).
Before registering, students should work with a faculty mentor to prepare a research proposal, including a brief review of relevant literature and proposed methods. The proposal should be submitted to the Public Health Department for approval before the end of the add/drop period in the fall. Honors will be granted to students who complete and defend a thesis before a departmental committee in the spring semester.
