SLU Celebrates Arbor Day with Tree Planting at the Living Laboratory
In celebration of Arbor Day, members of the St. Lawrence University community gathered at the Environmental Studies (ENVS) Living Laboratory for an afternoon of hands-on environmental action. Hosted by the Tree Campus Committee, the annual tree planting event continues to promote sustainability and foster a deeper appreciation for trees and the role they play in our campus ecosystem.
On Friday, April 25, the Tree Campus Committee hosted a successful tree planting event at St. Lawrence University’s Living Laboratory in celebration of Arbor Day. With the help of nearly 20 enthusiastic volunteers, a total of 55 trees, representing a variety of species, were planted.
This annual event highlights the value of trees and green spaces in our community, contributing to sustainability efforts and environmental awareness on campus. The Tree Campus projects continue to grow, thanks to the dedication of students, faculty, staff, and community members who show up year after year to support these efforts.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to lend a hand. If you're interested in getting involved, stay tuned; more Tree Campus events are on the horizon!
