Important Dates and Deadlines

Countdown to St. Lawrence

We're counting down the days until we welcome you home to St. Lawrence! Here you'll find important dates, deadlines, and items to check off your summer "to-do" list.

Dates and Deadlines

Deadlines

  • May 30
    • All forms on your application status page. Note that forms are required for us to assign housing. Late forms will delay your housing assignment.
    • North Country Pre-Orientation Trip Application due. You will be able to complete the application form as soon as it is released on your Application Status Page in April.
    • Questions? Contact the Outdoor Program at 315-229-5016, the Office of Student Activities & Leadership at 315-229-5757, or the First-Year Program at 315-229-5909.

To Do

  • First-year students
  • Transfer students
  • All new students
    • Expect to receive SLU credentials including a student ID, user ID, and email address on the application status page. Set up your account and make a note of your password.
      • If you have trouble setting up your account, connect with our helpdesk at 315-229-5770. Email is the official communication method of the university, so it's great to get into the habit of checking your SLU email now.
  • Parents and families

To Do

  • New Students

    • We're working on your first-year college and housing placements, which will be released at the start of July on your application status page. You may want to take some time now to start learning what living at St. Lawrence will be like and what opportunities will be available to you when you arrive on campus.
    • You will start receiving the summer email newsletter series. Designed by our student interns, this series shares tips for everything from course registration to what to bring with you to campus. If you haven't started checking your SLU email on a regular basis, you'll want to begin now.
    • If you have AP, IB, or other college credit to transfer to SLU, you'll want to get started now so that those credits will show up on your record before course registration in late July/early August.
  • Parents and families
    •  If you'd like to receive the newsletter series for students, just send us an email.
    • Review information about Laurentian Weekend (Homecoming & Family Weekend): September 22-23, 2023.

    • Student Health Forms can be completed by the student following the link to Medicat on the application status page.

      • Your advisor will reach out through your SLU email, but you'll also want to start familiarizing yourself with our course registration system, APR2, and our general education graduation requirements. When you log in to our registration system, you'll already be registered for your FYP course, so you can start looking for the other three courses you'll take this fall. Check out our videos introducing you to the process!
  • July 24-July 26
    • Course Registration is scheduled to open in APR2 July 24 (Monday) at noon Eastern Standard Time and remain open until 11 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on July 26.
