Spring 2026 Initiatives
For the Spring 2026 semester, Thelmo's Executive Board is focused on:
1. Accountability between the Administration, Student Government and student body.
2. Appointed a Constitutional Review Committee, working on consistently reviewing and updating the constitution
3. Collaborating with Dining Services improve the current system
4. Advocating for the rights of ALL students on campus.
5. Building an inclusive senate that represents all corners of campus
6. Consistently and equitably fund student initiatives to bring the community together.
7. Furthering discussions with senior staff in regards to student workers' wages'
8. Working with the Admissions Office to Increase enrollment for upcoming years
9. Increasing our Thelmo Outreach by emphasizing our social media outlets a. Launching the Thelomathesian Society Official Linked in
10. Reviewing and updating our Budget Allocation process
11. Reviving Emergency Medical Services (EMS) back to 24/7 to increase safety on campus
Junior Executive Board Initiatives
Working in collaboration with administration and the academic affairs board to compile a list of the syllabi of classes provided at St. Lawrence University, in order to give students a better idea of the classes they are registering for and making sure that students' learning styles are conducive to the classes they are in. I'm also communicating with professors and educators about the partnership of OpenAI and Instructure (the parent company of Canvas), and how it will affect students in the future, and making sure that students are treated equitably in regard to professors AI use through Canvas.

Strengthening the relationship between the university and the local community by bringing the school's resources to the aid of local events and schools. Facilitating organization volunteerism at local events, increasing student participation in service-based organizations, and pioneering new opportunities for service, this committee has revamped SLU Buddies, worked with volunteer services, and tabled on behalf of service-based organizations.

Launching Building Careers, Breaking Barriers, a peer-to-peer networking event in collaboration with Career Services office to help students share insider tips and navigate career pathways; Developing a proposal to implement alumni advisors for student organizations supplementing on-campus advisors with alumni mentors to make career exploration and post-graduation guidance more accessible to all students; Partnering with the Diversity and Inclusion office to organize Diversity & Inclusion Week and establish the governing policy for the Intercultural Board of United Voices (IBUV).

Working to improve accessibility to the bias incident report form, making it easier for students to locate and use. I've collaborated on efforts to develop a more representative campus climate survey ahead of its distribution at the end of the school year. In addition, I've worked with Student Accessibility Services to ensure that updated exam procedures are in place for the upcoming academic year.

This semester we focused on continuing to spread the word about Thelmo to the student body, while aiming to increase the number of candidates running in elections and overall voter turnout. We supported these efforts through outreach initiatives, including presentations to First-Year Seminars, tabling in the Student Center, and Pub Cookies!

Conceiving and leading the Earth Week Recycling Cup, a campus-wide sustainability initiative that converts collective student recycling efforts into direct financial support for local environmental and community organizations; fostering strategic partnerships across campus to reduce landfill waste while advancing place-based environmental impact in the North Country.

Organizing a platform within which global affairs can be constructively discussed on campus. Strategizing on the ways international students can be most supported with the International Student Services. Brainstorming and putting into action, the ways in which SLU can be advertised internationally in order to maximize international student admissions. Celebrating and promoting international and intercultural understanding in the SLU community by organizing events that honor intercultural connection like Kaleidoscope.
