MINUTES OF ST. LAWRENCE UNIVERSITY SAFETY COMMITTEE/

ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON CAMPUS SECURITY HELD VIA TEAMS

ON FRIDAY, February 6, 2025, STARTING AT 800 A.M.

 Chairperson:    Nick Ormasen, Co-Chair, called meeting to order at 0801

 Present: Marsha Sawyer, Kasarian Dane, Amber Jaquith, Secretary, Nick Ormasen, Co-Chair, Sam Mace, Tara Tent, Pat Gagnon, Co-Chair, Stacie Olney-LaPierre, Suna Stone, Marijo Hagget, Ceyda Kartal, Alana Belkevich, & Bill Ritchie

Apologies: Tim Kinch, Steve Richards, Stacy Vassar, Mary Charleston, Marcus Sherburne, & Alyse Millikan

Approval of the Minutes: Minutes from December 5th, 2025 – Nick Ormasen made a motion to approve, Marsha Sawyer & Pat Gagnon Seconded motion, all other members concurred

Guest: none

New Business:     CPR class being offered Feb 25th

Ceyda – inspections end of March – 53 buildings - Will be sending an email to campus before hand

                        NCC completed inspections for elevators

                        NY Fire Update – Upholstered Furniture has been updated on website & w/Procurement for buying purposes

AED’s – All have Narcan and will be ordering StopBleed for updating all first aid kits – will be complete by next meeting

Due to Whitman Fire - Sprinkler’s – Enhancement Projects – looking for budget for expanding sprinkler coverage around campus
