MINUTES OF ST. LAWRENCE UNIVERSITY SAFETY COMMITTEE/
ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON CAMPUS SECURITY HELD VIA TEAMS
ON FRIDAY, December 5, 2025, STARTING AT 800 A.M.
Chairperson: Pat Gagnon, Co-Chair, called meeting to order at 0801
Present: Marsha Sawyer, Marcus Sherburne, Kasarian Dane, Amber Jaquith, Secretary, Mary Charlston, Nick Ormasen, Co-Chair, Sam Mace, Tara Tent, Pat Gagnon, Co-Chair, Jim Kozsan, Stacie Olney-LaPierre, Suna Stone, Marijo Hagget, Ceyda Kartal, and Ethan Townsend
Apologies: Tim Kinch, Steve Richards, Bill Ritchie, Stacy Vassar, Alana Belkevich
Approval of the Minutes: Minutes from November 7th – Nick Ormasen made a motion to approve, Mary Charleston & Pat Gagnon Seconded motion, all other members concurred

New Business:
2nd Inspection at Jencks for compliance, Davis Ulmer completed inspections
Slip & Fall email went out to Campus
Winter plowing & shoveling schedule went out
Students/Staff – complain of it being dark near Karpus – plans for lighting in this area are already being looked at

Future Meetings: The Safety Committee meetings will continue to be the first Friday of the month starting in October from 8:00-9:00 a.m.: 2/6/2025, 3/6/2025, 4/3/2025, 5/1/2025 and 6/5/2025.
Meetings will continue to be held on Teams with the link included in the announcement/agenda the week of the meeting for the community.
