St. Lawrence University Ranked No. 1 in the Nation for its Alumni Network
St. Lawrence University now holds the No. 1 spot in the nation for alumni networks at private colleges and universities, according to The Princeton Review’s "Best Value Colleges" guide for 2025.
“I am thrilled that after many years of being recognized among the top five private institutions, we are now known as having the very best alumni network in the country,” says President Kate Morris. “Our alumni don’t just stay connected—they open doors, offer guidance, and create real opportunities for our students. It’s that network of support that helps turn a St. Lawrence education into meaningful careers and lifelong success.”
The University also climbed to No. 4 on “Top 20 Best Private Schools for Internships” and once again ranked among the “Best Schools for Making an Impact.” This year, St. Lawrence is one of just 209 institutions nationwide that made The Princeton Review’s list of “Best Value Colleges” after more than 650 colleges and universities were surveyed. The publication’s ratings are based on more than 40 criteria that encompass academics, affordability, and career preparation.

Vice President of the University and Dean of Academic Affairs Alison Del Rossi says the University’s strong alumni network grows naturally out of the St. Lawrence experience. “The core values of our liberal arts education—critical thinking, curiosity, collaboration, lifelong learning, and responsibility to others—also guide how graduates support current students,” she says. “Whether serving as formal mentors through our Center for Career Excellence or providing internship and job opportunities, our generous alumni help students see how their classroom experiences translate into meaningful, purpose-driven careers.”
