St. Lawrence Ranked Among Best Colleges in America by U.S. News and World Report
U.S. News and World Report released its annual “Best Colleges” rankings on Sept. 24 with St. Lawrence once again recognized among the nation’s top liberal arts colleges.
In its 2024 edition, U.S. News ranked St. Lawrence #59 among national liberal arts colleges, putting it in the top 30% of peer institutions nationwide. According to the publication, colleges and universities in this category “focus almost exclusively on undergraduate education and award at least 50 percent of their degrees in the arts and sciences.”
Best Value School
U.S. News also ranked St. Lawrence #65 among a shorter list of the best value liberal arts colleges. This ranking weighs a college's academic quality alongside the net cost of attendance for a student who received the average level of need-based financial aid.

Rankings from U.S. News come shortly after a series of positive announcements from The Princeton Review. The University climbed the rankings in its list of “Best Value Colleges” for 2024:

St. Lawrence also appeared on the publications list of “Best 390 Colleges” for 2025 in the following categories:

Earlier in September, St. Lawrence was named among the nation’s top 500 colleges in The Wall Street Journal/College Pulse 2025 Best Colleges rankings.
