Student Olympians
St. Lawrence University was recently featured in New York Upstate for being among the top U.S. schools sending athletes to the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympic Games.
St. Lawrence sent 11 Laurentians to this year’s Winter Games, including alpine skier Emma Gatcliffe ’27 and her brother James Gatcliffe ’26 representing Trinidad and Tobago, and Julia Gosling ’24 representing Team Canada for women’s hockey.

Visiting Scholar
The University was recently featured in North Country Public Radio for hosting scholar and musician Cory Hunter on campus for an interactive workshop about Black gospel music.
While on campus, Hunter also visited classes in the music department and spoke to students.
Hunter is an assistant professor of music and musicology at the University of Rochester and the Eastman School of Music.
