"What the Mirror Said: Black Women of Print" is the Gallery’s largest group exhibition to date and borrows its namesake title from a poem published in 1980 by the African American poet Lucille Clifton. The exhibition utilizes printmaking to visually narrate how the artists see themselves and the world around them and includes artwork by Chloe Alexander, Deborah Grayson, LaToya M. Hobbs, Ann Johnson, Delita Martin, Althea Murphy-Price, Karen J. Revis, Stephanie Santana, and Tanekeya Word.

The main gallery is open to visitors Monday through Thursday from noon to 8 p.m. and Friday - Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. The hallway gallery is open to visitors Monday through Sunday from 7 a.m. to noon.

In conjunction with the exhibition, award-winning artist Chloe Alexander, who creates visual narratives by layering various printmaking techniques, will present a lecture on Monday, March 28 at 4:30 p.m. in Griffiths Arts Center, Room 123.
