ExhibitionIn the hallway Gallery, the show features a group of mokuhanga pillar prints, created in 2025 as an international exchange portfolio. Pillar prints (hashira-e) are tall, narrow woodblock prints measuring approximately 4 1/2 x 28 inches. Popularized in the latter half of the 18th century, hashira-e were more accessible than silk scrolls and designed to be hung from support posts in traditional Japanese homes.
ExhibitionCollected over several years, this group of Inuit prints highlights one person's fascination with the relationship humans have with dogs and mythical creatures. The prints were created in Nunavut, the largest and northernmost territory of Canada.
ExhibitionThe show features a variety of printmaking processes. Though technologies have advanced, the basic concept of using a matrix to apply ink to paper has endured. Selected prints span from the early sixteenth century to the present day. Among the works included are those by Albrecht Dürer, Romare Bearden, Jaune Quick-to-See Smith, David Hockney, and Sue Coe.
ExhibitionAn exhibition dedicated to transforming plastic pollution into compelling works of art. Showcasing members of Project Vortex, an international collection of artists, designers, and architects who creatively reuse plastic, this show, curated by founder Aurora Robson, invites viewers to confront, reimagine, and reclaim their relationship with one of the planet's most persistent materials. Students from the AAH-3125 Land Art/Ecology course will have work exhibited in the hall.
ExhibitionThis is not only an exhibit but an interactive performance featuring Dane Sherwood's work and pieces by women from the Moon Group. The group, led by Sherwood and other Hudson Valley artists, explores ritual and creative practice. The performance draws on Sherwood's European and New Orleanian magical traditions and highlights themes of nature, the invisible realm, and community.
