Special Events

New Faculty Orientation is a two-and-a-half-day program designed to welcome new faculty to St. Lawrence University, introduce them to campus resources, and provide the information and connections needed for a successful start to the academic year.

New Faculty Orientation provides an opportunity for new faculty members to become familiar with the University's academic community, policies, and resources before the start of the fall semester.

Throughout the program, participants will meet colleagues from across campus, learn about services and support available to faculty, and gain practical information related to teaching, scholarship, advising, and campus life. Sessions are designed to help new faculty build connections, navigate University processes, and begin the academic year with confidence.

The program concludes with a luncheon bringing together new faculty, newly tenured faculty, and department chairs, providing an opportunity to build relationships, exchange ideas, and foster connections across the University.
