Special Events

Join Ashley Evans, Professor of Software Development & Cloud Computing at Valencia College, for a day-long, hands-on workshop exploring practical strategies for teaching in the age of artificial intelligence.

The Summer AI Institute 2026: AI-Aware Pedagogy Training will take place on Monday, August 24, from 8:15 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

Led by Ashley Evans, Professor of Software Development & Cloud Computing at Valencia College, this highly interactive workshop is designed for faculty who want practical, course-ready strategies for teaching in the age of AI.

Rather than spending the day listening to presentations, participants will have dedicated time to reflect on their own courses, revise assignments, explore AI-resistant and AI-inclusive teaching approaches, and begin developing an AI philosophy that supports authentic student learning—with or without AI.

Faculty will leave with practical tools, concrete ideas, and meaningful work already underway for their own teaching.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Registration Deadline: Friday, August 7
