How to Manage Your Default Wireless Network
Windows 10 and 11 Instructions
- Navigate to the bottom right-hand corner of your screen and click on the Wi-Fi icon.
- Select the wireless network you'd like to set as your default.
- If using windows 11, you must select the menu option next to the Wi-Fi icon to bring up the wireless network list
- Check the box that says "Connect Automatically"
- This will automatically move the network to the top of your priority list.
- We recommend using Eduroam as the primary network connection on your computer or phone while you are on campus.
Mac OS Instructions
- Navigate to the top left corner of your screen and click on the Wi-Fi icon in your menu bar.
- Click "Network Preferences...", the very last option.
- Make sure "Wi-Fi" is highlighted in the pane on the left and click "Advanced".
- Make sure you are under the "Wi-Fi" tab at the top.
- Re-arrange your wireless networks by simply clicking and dragging them.
- The networks at the top are the highest priority and will be used before all of the other networks below it.
- We recommend using Eduroam as the primary network connection on your computer or phone while you are on campus.
