Recent national recognition highlights strengths in academics, career preparation, student support, and community. Laurentians contributed a record $54.8 million in new gifts and pledges in fiscal year 2026. And through SLU Thrives, the University is bringing a new campus-wide focus to student well-being.

Building an Even Stronger St. Lawrence

New Academic Programs

St. Lawrence continues to evolve its liberal arts curriculum around what students need for the world ahead. 

New and emerging areas of study—including biomedical sciences, cybersecurity, data science, digital media and film, environmental science, finance, outdoor leadership, pre-health chemistry, and public health—combine with the breadth and flexibility of the liberal arts to help students explore their interests, discover their purpose, and prepare for meaningful lives and careers.

Campus-Wide Well-Being: SLU Thrives

Success in college isn't one-dimensional. Neither is well-being. SLU Thrives brings together seven dimensions of well-being to help students connect the dots between academics, career preparation, relationships, physical and mental health, finances, purpose, community, and life in a digital world. 

A Network That Lasts a Lifetime

Laurentians don’t stop showing up for one another at graduation. 

St. Lawrence’s nationally recognized alumni network connects students with mentors, internships, career opportunities, and fellow Laurentians around the world. Combined with exceptional career preparation and hands-on learning, those relationships help students turn what they discover here into what comes next. 

The Saints Experience is Getting Even Stronger

St. Lawrence is investing in what it means to be a Saint—on the field, in the arena, and beyond. 

Enhancements to SHIELD Wellness & Performance, in collaboration with SLU Thrives, support the total development of student-athletes, from strength, nutrition, and mental resilience to academics, leadership, and career preparation. 

The launch of Saints Nation is bringing students, alumni, families, faculty, staff, and the Canton community together through an even more spirited game-day experience. And with women’s triathlon and flag football on the way, St. Lawrence will expand to 37 varsity sports. 

That enthusiasm extends across generations of Laurentians. This year's Here We Go Saints Challenge set a St. Lawrence online campaign record with 3,107 donors, raising a record $796,024 in support of Saints Athletics.
