Publishing a Canvas Course

Overview This article explains how to publish / unpublish a Canvas course. All Canvas course sites are created automatically unpublished. Students will not be able to access a Canvas course if it is not published. Providing Students Access to a Canvas Course to Satisfy an Incomplete

After a term ends, by default, all students will retain Read Only access to their Canvas course sites. In some cases, this level of access may be sufficient for students to satisfy an incomplete. Budget to Actuals

Budget to Actuals is similar to “Finance Query”, with the addition of some budget specific information and additional viewing opportunities. Under My Cost Centers, there is a bar graph view showing a summary of data in a bar graph format. In “List View” you see the data in a summarized list by GL Account. In “Object View” you see a summary of data by Object. In the same way you can drill into additional details in “Finance Query”, you can do the same in any of these views. The filter on the left can be used to narrow the results shown on screen. Enter the GL items you want shown and click “Apply Filter”. You can also choose whether you want to show the accounts with no activity and how you want the items sorted This can always be reset to remove all filters. Printing from Canvas and/or Perusall

When viewing a PDF document in Canvas or Perusall, it is often not possible to print the document directly from your web browser. In those cases, if you first download the document and then open it on your computer, your default PDF viewer should allow for printing. If not, try a different PDF viewer such as Adobe Reader. Note: if Downloading from Perusal is not possible, you may need to speak to your instructor about their enabling downloading in the settings for that document.
