    Global Studies Students Present Outstanding Research at Hartwick’s Social Research Conference

    Karni Keushgerian '25 and Evangeline Norman '26 each presented research at their first scholarly conference at Hartwick College's biannual Social Research Conference. This year's theme was "Portrait of a Tipping Point: Critical Questions for Social Scientists in 2025."

    On May 16, President Morris informed the Laurentian community about the passing of Melinda Goss, a former assistant manager of the Brewer Bookstore. Known for her wide-ranging knowledge and thoughtful recommendations, Goss brought a genuine passion for books to her work and was a helpful, collegial presence to both staff and customers.     On May 19, President Morris informed the Laurentian community about the passing of Joyce Hogle, who worked for 32 years in Dining and Catering. Remembered by colleagues as steady, capable, and skilled at her craft, she was known for her baked goods and for supporting the day-to-day operations that kept our community running smoothly.
