Skating Saints Defeat Clarkson in Exhibition Contest; Fall Sports Continue In their first game since the ECAC Championship, the men's ice hockey team defeated 19th ranked Clarkson 3 - 0 in an exhibition contest on Saturday at Cheel Arena. The Saturday wins continued with the field hockey team securing its first Liberty League win of the season by defeating RPI 2-1 at home. On Friday, the Esports Overwatch team topped Lackawanna 3-0 for their first win of the season while women's ice hockey defeated Syracuse 4-1 at Appleton. Last week, Lillian Sullivan '23 and Caitlyn Avery '23 won their doubles and singles matches to lead women's tennis to a 7-2 win over SUNY Oneonta at home. Weekend of Winning!It was a winning weekend for the Saints! Starting on Friday, the Women's Hockey team triumphed over RPI with a 4-1 win, while the Men's Hockey team secured a 5-2 victory against Ferris State University. Saturday the Men's Swimming and Diving team defeated Bard College 57-7, and the Women's team won with a score of 121-49. Women's Hockey continued their winning streak with a 6-1 victory against Union College, and the Volleyball team brought home a 3-1 win against SUNY Potsdam. At the Utica Winter Opener, Women’s Track and Field’s Maia Wahlquist ’25 won the high jump while Men’s Track and Field secured a slew of top 8 performances. On day two of the Colby College Carnival, Ethan Hejna ’22 and Victoria Cubina ’24 posted the top results in their respective slaloms for the Saints Alpine Ski Team.
