    St. Lawrence Student Government Gives $1 Million in Support of Student Mental Health Care

    The Thelomathesian Society is donating $1 million to create an endowed fund aimed at increasing the availability of student mental health care on the St. Lawrence University campus. It is an unprecedented gift, forged in part by two years of pandemic hardship.

    Reunion Rewind

    Laurentians representing their 15th, 25th, 35th, 50th, 55th, 60th, 65th, 70th, and 75th reunion milestones, along with the Class of 2021, recently returned to campus for a weekend filled with old friendships and new memories. While we can’t put the weekend on rewind, revisiting the friends, laughter, and memories might be the next best thing.   4. Faculty and Staff Honored, Awarded Promotions at Annual Convocation Ceremony

    To mark the beginning of a new academic year and celebrate the contributions of all members of the St. Lawrence community, the University honored several employees with awards for their outstanding service and recognized a number of faculty who earned tenure and promotions during their annual Convocation event. The ceremony was held outside in the Herring-Cole Grove on Wednesday, August 25.

    Federal Grant Supports Commitment to Student Mental Health and Well-Being

    St. Lawrence University has received a three-year, $287,061 grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to support its Comprehensive Care Network (CCN) Project. The project will use evidence-based approaches to improve the identification and treatment of at-risk students and expand access to services that address mental health, suicide prevention, and substance misuse.

    Scarlet and Brown Triumph

    Starting off strong this week the men's golf team took the win with Cooper Evans placing first place at the Clarkson Invitational, his second career title from the Golden Knights. Saints football followed suit with a 14-7 home victory against Norwich University. In women’s soccer, Lilly Stone 26 and Zoe Rogan 27 tallied first career goals, defeating Castleton University and closing the Manchester Cup with a 3-0 win.
