Memories of Tom Fay M’70

Tom Fay was a wonderful coach, mentor and friend to so many; I count myself beyond lucky to have been in his orbit at SLU. His keen commitment to his students and athletes, warm approachability and love of his fellow coach helped inform my passion for the Scarlet and Brown right from my arrival on campus. 
I will forever remember my colleague and friend in my early morning walks past Tom Fay Field and will hold Pam and all of his swinging Saints in my heart as they cherish his memory always.  Mare MacDougall Bari, Athletics - Women's Hockey

Early in my career when I was still a runner, Tom and I would sometimes cross paths on the trail (he liked running it the opposite way I did). Even on the warmest mornings, he would be running in a work-out jacket. It always impressed me as I sweated through my T-shirt. I fondly remember him.  Aileen O'Donoghue, Physics
