Diane Hull

Dear Laurentian Community,

I write today to share the sad news that Diane Hull, a former member of the St. Lawrence dining services staff, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2026, at the age of 77 at Gouverneur Hospital.

Diane was born on March 5, 1949, in Ogdensburg, New York, to the late Alfred and Evelyn (Johnson) Simmons. Before joining St. Lawrence in 1977, she worked as a waitress at the Canton Diner and the Cascade Inn. She later became a valued member of the University’s dining services team, where she was part of the daily life of the campus community for 32 years before her retirement in 2010.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 42 years, Albert Hull, who died in 2023.
