SLUGAC 12, September 25-28, 2025

Dear SLU Geology Alumni and Friends,

As fellow alumni, we are pleased to invite you back to campus for the 12th St. Lawrence University Geology Alumni Conference (SLUGAC 12), which will take place from September 25 to 28, 2025. This year’s conference theme "Geology at the Core: Earth, Air, and Water in a Changing Environment" recognizes the broad impact of our alumni community, including those who are applying their geoscience foundation in ways that support the environment outside of traditional geology careers.

We are especially eager to hear from alumni whose paths have taken them into unconventional or interdisciplinary areas. Whether you work in education, policy, art, business, community organizing, or something else entirely, your story helps current students envision a wider range of possibilities for their own futures. We hope you’ll consider joining us to share your journey, connect with fellow alums, and support SLU student as they prepare to take their next steps beyond SLU.

As always, one of the highlights of SLUGAC will be the Bloomer Lecture, and we are thrilled to announce that this year’s speaker will be Dr. Roy Christoffersen, '76.

We encourage you to "save the date” and plan to attend this fall. We’re currently welcoming proposals from those interested in serving as speakers or panelists, and we are also accepting abstracts submissions, Elberty Medal nominations, and early indications of attendance. While indicating your intent to attend doesn’t commit you to coming, it will help us greatly as we plan for the weekend. The formal registration form will be your commitment. If you are interested in participating on a panel, please email us the  proposed topic at slugeologyalumni@gmail.com. The planning committee will be shaping panel themes and rosters over the summer.

Registration Fees:
