MINUTES OF ST. LAWRENCE UNIVERSITY SAFETY COMMITTEE/

ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON CAMPUS SECURITY HELD VIA ZOOM

ON FRIDAY, MAY 2, 2025, STARTING AT 800 A.M.

Chairperson:    Nick Ormasen, Co-Chair, called to order at 0800

Present: Dean Manley, Stacie Olney-LaPierre, Jim Kozsan, Susan Johnson, Secretary, Ethan Townsend, Tara Tent, Marsha Sawyer, Patrick Gagnon, Co-Chair, Marcus Sherburne, Kasarian Dane and Aidan Gallagher

• Annual Accident Report – Dean Manley
  • Reporting period August 2024-April 29, 2025
  • Reminder that upon accident/incident employees must notify supervisor immediately at max 24 hours after incident.
  • If medical attention is needed, contact Safety & Security

  • Supervisors must complete accident report form with employee online found at

  • Bruises and cuts, 18
  • WC claim costs have been decreasing since 2019-2024.
  • 64 total reports as of 4/29/25
  • Increased reporting=more accurate data
